Not firing on all cylinders

Trying to use (2) Godox TT560 and (1) SB700 in Commander mode. I can see all three Speedlights firing, but the TT560's are going off just before the SB700, and the shutter is capturing the SB700 flash only. Was able to get the shutter to capture the TT560's but not the SB700. I've tried every combination of flash mode, shutter speed, apertures, and moving the speedlights in different positions and still no luck. Can't get the shutter to capture all three flashes at once. Been at this all day and I have had enough camera's and flashes, so that will explain today photo.

Next step is to get some radio triggers and give up on the fact the Commander mode is not going to work.:mad:

Hi Rick,

Sorry to bother but I was wondering if you ended up getting your flash setup working properly?? Were you using the 700 as the commander (via its commander mode) or controlling from the commander mode of the camera??

I ask that because the 5100 camera does not have a cls commander mode... so I would need to control in another manner, such as the 700 or a trigger (if I did not want the 700 on camera for the shot)

I was originally looking at Yougnuo units and though they seem capatible enough and save money, I think I am better of staying with the 700, if for no other reason, upwardly compatible. I still may look at youngnuo for slave units to save money, hence my curiousity on how you ended up with your setup?

Happy birthday Jack and Marilynne!!!! Hope you have a great one. I don't have a birthday but I do have a 36th wedding anniversary the day after Christmas.

Rocky It's never a bother. I will always answer any question from anyone the best I can. If I wrong I'm sure someone here will point it out.

I have to pull a four hour shift today Christmas Eve and have about an hour to spare right now so I don't want to get into it.

Lucky for you I suffer from Chronic insomnia and your answer should come in the next few days between all the Santa festivity's around here.

Yes I did get it to work this shot was taken with three Godox Speedlights. I did not use the SB700 I'll go into more detail later why and what I'm using and what needs to be done next to better the lighting.

This was my second attempt, and by far not what I was looking for. However a little more processing in Lightroom to take some of the yellow and red out of mine and Chris's faces I was able to come up with a photo good enough to make a 16 x 20 canvas to give to my Mom for Christmas.

Jeff, congrats on the 36 years.. That is a long time! We just passed 35 years 11 days ago.
