Rick, sounds like you have plenty planned for 2013. Thank you for all that you have done for us Noobs and I hope you will be around enough to continue to share with us... (between your new projects of course!)

Kind of in a way. Really posting pictures I don't care about right now till I can figure out a way I feel comfortable posting after the shenanigans earlier this week.:mad-new: Last night was the first night I took another photo and did not post it, I may come back later and add it.

I like what others have done to their signatures I'm trying to come up with one without coping one, but I really like "RickSawThat's" line the best and if Rick does not mind I might use his.

Of course I don't mind :) I'm torn on watermarks... either they are big and distracting or too easy to crop out so lately I have not been adding them. I do add (c) Rick Wilson to the EXIF data in camera for every image and have all images saved on multiple hard drives so it is very easy to prove a image is indeed something I shot if I had too. The internet is not a private place and we must understand these things can happen. It;'s the individual who stole and then claimed he shot the images after re-posting them not the site. This situation could happen anywhere we post. Even if you could not right click and copy you could still take a screen shot and capture the image. With all the good of the internet we do give up a lot in privacy and other rights.

I'm also torn on watermarks. I think I might have come up with something I like, might take a little more fine tuning in the coming days, will have to see how it looks on different photo's with different placements and sizes. So after a couple of days (and a couple of cold Corona's with my son today) I back in the game.

Day 351
Self Shot Family Portrait for our Christmas Card

I'm too cheap to hire a Photographer it might cut into my NAS fund
(in case you're wondering the infrared remote is in my right hand)

Jeff, nice job... I had thought of doing something like that but never got around to it.. In my case there is only 2 of us left home so it would have been easy (but outdoors as I have no portrait gear. Still may do one and send to the kids (4) just so that they have one.

LOL JEFF? OK. We have a half empty nest too. These are the last two. Tyler the taller one is legally blind and we expect him to be with us for quite some time unless a beautiful sighted damsel sweeps him off his feet. He's quite the ladies man so you never know. Between the two of us we have seven total ages 27-12, and three grandchildren. My oldest daughter lives out of state, and even when we are all in the same state we are spread out by about a two hour drive. Even if we were able to get everyone together it's a pain to get the teenagers to smile let alone dress for the occasion. So for right now we take what we can get.
