I totally agree, Pat. It's all about the commercialism, and quite frankly, I find it appalling. Besides...my birthday is Xmas Eve, so try not to forget, ok?

One of our neighbors has their Christmas tree up already and it's not even Thanksgiving! The stores down here started putting Christmas decorations out in September!

Ok, not only has our local Wal-Mart been displaying Christmas trees and such since the end of September, and been playing Christmas music since the second week of November. Yesterday they put all their Black Friday items out and wrapped up in plastic with signs that say not available till Friday. You can hardly move around in the store now, can't wait to see what it's going to be like at 10pm Thursday when the big electronic add breaks. Might go with my camera to capture some of the craziness. We were going to go for a few ads, but decided it was worth it more to pay full price now on some items that were available then to fight the madness. Funny how we are now thinking about going in just for entertainment purposes.

Well I don't know what was more baked, me or the turkey. I had some nice shots before we went for the 8pm sale of our Thanksgiving Dinner but I formatted my SD card on the way out the door and lost them.
Then I shot with a too slow of shutter speed once we got to the early sale.
Going to have to tell Mom and her boyfriend that their homemade wine should be illegal. But it was SO GOOD!
So here are some pre-Black Friday 8pm shots I could salvage.
