Not sure where that came from :confused:

I'm a technically a transport operator which is slightly more demanding. I transport and deliver propane to retail plants from refineries.

Your name. It is a logical derivation.

KWJams
KW= KenWorth
Jams= gear jammer
And since propane is NOT delivered by the US Mail, the logical supposition is that it is delivered by TRUCK.

I meant no offense.

Actually, my middle name begins with a "W" and "JAMS" was the personalized plate I used to have on my Harley when I lived in Wyoming (back when I started using that user name). They only allowed 4 letters on plates and Jams was short for my last name and the melody of a Bob Marley song that would stick in head when riding twisty roads. :cool: ---> YouTube - ‪Bob Marley - Jammin' [ with lyrics ]‬‏

But I can see how the assumption could be made with "KW" and "K-Whoppers" ;) The truck I operate is just a tool used to perform the responsibilities of my job.

Thanks, none taken beerchug.gif

I never really know what to say about your photos, they're always great!
The table with the curtains and flowers looks relaxing, and makes me want to take a seat.
The silver jewelry is a great shot, draws my eyes upward.

Jen makes a great point. You always take awesome photos. Sometimes don't know what to say as a good comment. Maybe if you threw out a crappy one from time to time we could say "whew" - Helene that was a crappy one!!! just for something different to say :-D

Not yet, but I was reading something about it today in a magazine.

The way I understand it, is that it can be done in some DSLR's by bracketing shots and then merging them together.

HDR reinvigorated my digital photography passion. I was taking 3 bracketed shots with my D90 and now take up to 9 bracketed shots with the D700 (though generally I still only take 3 to 5 bracketed shots). You should look into downloading Photomatics and try it out for free as long as you like. Until you buy it, there will be a watermark on your prints and uploads. What DSLR are you using?

D5000 and I think it only bracket 3 shots.

Now,,,, all this just is for overlaying one shot on top of another? Not as a way to stitch a panoramic together right?

It does not a stitching process, but more like you said, an overlay. It combines the best exposure from each of the the bracketed shots (typically 1 stop underexposed, 1 stop overexposed and 1 and the correct exposure). It combines the photos to better represent what the human eye can see. Most of what is seen on the internet are surreal photos in HDR, but they can be impressive without significant PP. Helene can probably explain it better as I recall she wrote something up on HDR a while ago.

Hard for me not to give my all to something I love.

Soooo, for tomorrow's shot, would you prefer horse crap or dog poop? :cool::p;)

Did something for just me today . . . went to see a performance of "Don Quixote" by our local ballet group. Really extraordinary talent in such a little town! Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Great shot, looks like a miniature.

Was it a handheld shot?

Almost looks like from the perspective that it could have been from a balcony seat and the exif data of 1/100 has me scratching my head.

Were you able to smuggle a tri-pod in? :)

The D2X with an ISO of 1600 can do marvelous things. Can take an otherwise crappy photo op and turn it into a thing of beauty!!!

Nice job Helene (and no, this was not a crappy post!)

Handheld, no tripod, and yes, from the balcony. Thanks for the comment, Ken.

More than the D2X, it was the 24 mm lens at f/1.4 that really cut back on the noise. The lens and camera combination affects noise as well as the camera settings. This is just incredible glass, and yes, I rented it while my other lens is getting repaired.

Nice job Helene (and no, this was not a crappy post!)
Thanks, Chris, and it wasn't intended to be crappy, however, TODAY's is. :cool:
