I find there's too much light in the middle of her hair, none at the top of her head, and none at the bottom of her hair

I agree. Didn't think of setting up the second flash and the sun was setting way too quickly. We were hard-pressed to find a place in that restaurant that did not have stuff sticking out of the head or dirty, streaky windows before the light was gone. . .sigh. This is another photo club member and we took turns "playing model" for each other so we could "practice". Amazing how fast you forget lighting set-ups when you don't practice. Another one of those photos that my little voice says is not my best, but maybe it'll do!
Drats! I can't get anything past you and Joseph! LOL

Thanks for your feedback, Jack. I always appreciate another set of eyes.

Lurked around town this afternoon and thought I'd try "street photography". Didn't find many "photo worthy" folks. The ones who looked "interesting" gave me a dirty look, so I moved on. People do carry guns around here . . . sigh

So settled on this one. It shouldn't be too difficult for you to guess what I did..

"goosie, goosie, gander . . ."

Big chore day today, so thought I would take time to photograph my geese while they were grazing. Hadn't done that in a while. They're quite the "conversationalists"

I have mixed feelings about Geese, they like to chase me, and act like they own everything... until I bring my dog.
I am an animal lover but sometimes I want to punt them.
But this is a very nice shot. :) They look nicer than the ones around here.

They can be very territorial . . . they let me know first that someone's at the gate, even before the dogs. It's been a hard year for them . . . they lost a couple of their buddies to some predator that has been stalking my property (mountain lion or large coyote.
These guys are pretty nice because I hatched them in an incubator . . . so they literally think of me as "mother goose." LOL

"My Boy, Jimmy"

Always good to practice posing the dogs. Jimmy is another one of my "rescued dogs", basically "thrown away" because he was a nuisance.
He has a heart of gold, boundless enthusiasm and happiness, and is smarter than some people I've met LOL. . . every day is a party for him, and for me because of him :)

Just look at the life and enthusiasm in Jimmy's eyes! He's gotta be a handful, right? lol What a great lookin' dog. I think the right person saved this dog. The love just shines through those eyes at you, Helene. :)
