"Mint 1954 Polaroid Highlander with original accessories"

1/8/11

I know that everyone waxes poetic about the early days of photography. How-ever, THIS is the closest corollary to what we have today.

The in-camera darkroom. The Polaroid Highlander Model 80

Very much like the digital cameras of today. Press the shutter and get a picture. In BOTH cases you have to pull the picture out of the camera to use it.

Physically in the Polaroid and electronically in the digital.

Tell me what you think.

I like this a lot! I love the vintage look of the camera, so BW makes it feel more vintage. I like the shine you picked up on the camera itself, it draws your eye there.

Can you still get film for this camera? Do you use it now and then?

Your photo has kind of a 1940's look to it . . . I like it!

Love this shot, Pete. And I couldn't help spot the vintage light meter, too. You still have it?.....and does it still work?

I have the original case, flash bulbs, light meter, camera and instructions. EVERYTHING is in near pristine condition.

The camera bellows is still soft and supple. Seriously, you could swear this camera set was made in the last year, not over 57 years ago!
