Day 282
Sunset on the forgotten

This is not the first time shooting at this location. I think back in June I was here and posted the car alone in HDR. Because of this weeks challenge I decided to revisit this site today, I hope to show you more from today in this weeks challenge.;)

No your right Pete, It's out of focus. Chris and her girl friend were out with her camera and "our" 18-105, I was in a hurry and I put on my kit lens from my D3000 18-55. I've been doing a lot of playing around with settings lately and just noticed after reading your post that the lens was on AF but the body was switched off. I've been making a lot of mistakes like that, I really think I'm trying to hard. No excuses, bottom line I messed up.

Stop trying so hard and get back to the pleasure you once experienced. So what if you messed up.

In ten thousand years there is not a single person that will remember it. So don't worry about it. :) :p

Rick, you have grown by leaps and bounds since you joined here a little more than a year ago. Anyone can clearly see that. Don't sweat the small stuff, dude.

Thanks Pete and Anthony. I'm not out to prove to anything to anyone. It's my nature to strive for perfection and satisfy myself. As for growing by leaps and bounds, I can only thank you all here for your comments and likes. On the same token I can also thank you all for making my pocket book a little lighter too, darn you NAS.:p

Day 285
The Experiment

Ok so I'm not sweating the small stuff, so I spent the day experimenting with a lot of things with this shot and post processing, this is what I can up with. Hand held shot, just for practice and fun. Learning a lot by doing things like this whether I get the results I'm looking for or not. This was a fun day!

Nice shot but what is up with the processing on the arms and hair?

The back round is over exposed, so I isolated it (or tried to) in light room and cut down on the exposure and brightness trying to make it look better. Your monitor must be picking up the brush I used more than I can see on mine. Too much post processing. Thanks these things are good to know.

Here it is again before I did anything to the back round.
