I wish MOOOOO Mike. Most of the farmers out here are crop farmers. Not too many livestock farmers, or maybe I haven't found them yet. I still new to the area and have not been out that much. 9 times out of 10 I go out exploring and find myself on a gravel road for 5 miles. lol

Day 242

Normally I like to name my shots, but my DSL been lagging for 11 hours, ok it's been so slow I could not load up any Web page, but had service. Figure that one out. So right now I've lost my sense of humor thanks to my internet service provider. So we will start off fresh tomorrow.

Let's see, a bright sunny late afternoon sun, and the whole bird is perfectly facing the sun....why yes, today I'm pleased with it, after PP.

If I want to get picky, the RAW file and the JPG look a little graining and dark to me for 400 ISO not as clear and sharp as I would like and could not take much of a crop zoom.

I really want to like this lens, and I will continue to use it even when I replace it early next year with a 200mm fast glass it's just a challenge to work with, or maybe I'm asking too much out of it.

Overall I'm very pleased with this shot and the way the lens and myself interacted today.

Penalty....defense...number 21.....illegal use of hands. :p

Side note: Found some great advise here on the board that helped with camera settings for this shot, Thank you.

This is may first attempt at shooting football I could not get the action shot that I was looking for, or was happy with. High school season just started and I will be going back :D

Outstanding work on the bird shots, Rick! And good capture on the football game.
I really like the composition on the seagull shot!
