add water and most anything will sprout. Lol FLOWERS 068.jpg

Changed out our yard windmill and it got a good test already. The last one was clipped by a piece of steel roofing that blew off the house last winter.

how stable is your unit? In a good wind mine hunts back and forth (maybe tail is not large enough) my first one was very unstable and destroyed itself, never did find all the blades.

The wind screamed right after we got it up. This one not as sturdy as the last one. If I would have taken a further photo it would have shown a bucket of rocks hung in the center. Hope it helps.

i have 4 hunks of 2' rebar holding mine down. My head (blades) swing side to side in about a 90 degree arc to the wind, wonder if your does the same. I suspect my tail is not large enough to keep things steady when the wind hoots.

Mine doesn't swing as much as it vibrates. Already had a nut come off. I'll go through and tighten them all over again and put a dab of fingernail polish on them. It always works good on things like chicago screws.
