Here is the other engine that was in use on Mt. Washington the day we rode the cog railway._AAA5653 - Version 2.jpg It is a fun ride but almost impossible to take photos when this train is in motion.

Tomorrow we are taking the Grandkid and his buddy on a scenic railway trip to some waterfalls. We are just hoping it isn't raining! There should be plenty of pictures.

Gorgeous photos Just-Clayton -- hard to beat NKP 765 under such beautiful skies! She was built in 1944 just before war's end and embodies the last of steam's highest level of development in the U.S.. Thanks for posting these! I wish I could have seen her.

Out in yesterday's summer heat. Found NS 156 headed north and ran like heck to grab this shot off a highway bridge at Ridgeway, SC. Barely had time to swap lenses and make my settings -- shot at 1/800 which was more than sufficient!

CSX Train Q464 at Camden, SC today. The light was overcast. These age-old signals will soon be replaced, so I wanted to get some shots before they're gone.

She was a beauty. I'm glad I got to see it. The tracks run through my neighborhood. They plan on coming back to the area. I might take a ride.
