Thanks! I had "buck fever" when I saw it and was suffering from a bit of excited hand shake as I took my first shots. After seeing that all was quiet, I settled down and took my time. Thrills are harder to find after 40 years of shooting trains, but it's nice to know that they can still be found.

The one with the farm tractor is extra nice -- I like the wide open expanse. I noticed that UP has pole lines. They're fading way in many places.

Those are the funky-est looking railcars with the squashed ends. They use them on the Seattle area Sounder trains too, sans the palm tree and blue sky graphics. :) Those locomotives have a rather complex history of rebuildings using components of many other locomotives. I thought they were old Amtrak units, but not so.

Nice shot redrockv8. Ignore the 21st Century power line pole and the vehicles and you'd think it was 1900. I'll bet there are some awesome photo spots away from civilization.

Yes, I sometimes fight with the uploader's inconsistencies too. :confused:
