I have been seeing this scene as the sun goes down behind the church for a while now and finally got chance to capture it last night. I think in a few weeks from the position I can get to the sun will be setting directly behind the church so I may revisit this one.

I normally don't do the area I was in. When I looked back from my truck i noticed the sunset. With no filters or time I didn't get the roundness to the sun like I wanted.

Nice shot. Yep, work, bad weather and everything else have meant I have been looking at this scene for a while.

Not really my forte yet but I plan to work on this stuff soon. I was on my way home from work and almost missed the entire thing. Unprepared, yes. Desparate for something to post in my 365 thread.

From a small island near Horse Shoe Beach FL.

(Should have got rid of the lens flare):p

Nice shot shannon... I like it (you are probably correct on the flare... What are the 3 dark spots.. 2in line maybe 30 deg above right... and a 3rd maybe 15 deg above right in a cloud?? I am guessing maybe far away birds?? You may want to remove those also...

I really like the shot with the beach sand and dead wood...

Two from 1981. The Sun was bigger back then...

Nikkor 500/8, original version.
Nikon F Photomic "Bullseye"- camera was ~20 years old Then. 52 years old Now, I still have it. Just the standard UV filter, the reflections in the lens cast a color to the images. Slide Film.
