Back together, little ones are long gone. Time to make more eagles, putting together the plan.
Should we build a new nest, those photographers are starting to get our nerves

Say cheese, family portrait from last year. Adult male top left hand, adult female below him and the two juveniles left and right.
Yes the two adults look worn out

Thank you! It was our first time going to Fort Donelson. These eagles are quite the exhibitionists. They have their nest right in the middle of the Fort and hunt in a couple locations that are easily accessed. There are always a few photographers there and it is a lot of fun chasing them around the Fort to get the next shot. The birds are quite use to people so they don't frighten easily which allows you to get fairly close without scaring them. Sometimes they even do a fly over just to check out the photographers. A place we will definitely go back to.
First one is a keeper, we also have a mated pair of Bald Eagles in our neck of the woods. Got a bunch of pictures of the entire family last season, they had two young ones.

I am so jealous! I have been trying to get a good picture of an owl for a long time. These are beautiful. I am going out again Friday to look for some. I am having trouble finding them. Maybe I will get lucky Friday. If I do I will post pictures.

Pops caught a fish for the youngsters, this was a far away shot, the adults don't fish close to the shore, they usually catch their fish way out there.

She was with her mate, that's the female, the male was smaller, kicked them both up walking into the woodlot where I saw this female last year around the same time, when you kick them up just stop, they usually will perch not far away.

Stay in one spot and try some hooting, I got these between 3-4 PM.

Thank you John, my husband has some owl calls and he has an electronic call, maybe I will take them with me.
Wearing camo also helps, also try not to break any twigs beneath your feet, walk slowly, stop every 20-30 yards and inspect the area, and no sudden movements.
I just visited the same area, she was perched soaking in the sun, she knew I was there but did not feel threatened.
Will post a few more when I get the chance.

I found two. One was sitting in the nest and the other was in a tree near by. I saw the one in the nest first and did not see the one in the tree and it bolted when I moved to get a clearer shot of the one on the nest. I will post the one I got, she would not raise her head very far so you can just barely make out her eyes.
