Roy, you have captured a lot of detail but the overall of the photo is a tad too dark for my taste... I would like to see a little bit more exposure added in post!

Re: Moon Shots - technically a moon photo but more for the 22' Halo

So this is a photo of the moon, but more so a LE to show the 22' Halo that occurs under certain atmospheric conditions. Moon blown out due to 15secs and 30secs exposures.

I'm not sure why my shot looks grainy because when I put it on my computer, it was clear as a whistle.

I am not sure how to fix this since I am on a point and shoot (Coolpix L820).

I am unsure about what settings you have, is there a night time landscape mode? Also try and spot meter on the moon itself.

This is a really great shot. It certainly shows what the combination can do. Did you do any sharpening in PP ?

Just a touch; I have the camera sharpen set to +6, which makes a big difference to begin with, then added just a touch more when cropping and saving for the post.
