I think you did very well considering the critter has a glazed body! I believe it's a defensive tactic meant to defract light making it a harder target to lock onto visually. Just my hypothesis, so I can't state it as fact. :)

Anyway great shot buddy, and I'm loving the spider shot by the way! :D

Don't know if it was the breeze, or the shiny body, or the half pint of Telegraph California porter, but I just couldn't get a good focus on this guy
