Post your low light long exposures

What do you mean with filter on the photo? Outside filters like PS ones? The shot is processed in LR but I didn't use any outside filter. Only the settings, brush and LR's graduated filter to selectively adjust parts. I hardly ever use filters besides the borders of perfect effects.

This is the shot as it rolled out of the cam.

Ok. It's nice shot.
Because of the light reflections I thought maybe you used something like this:

Thanks but the lens is close to retirement. Once I decided what new lens, I'm going to shoot all landscape with the FX. I'm not in a hurry at the moment since this season isn't great for landscapes here.

The annoying part of night photography is trespassers and cars. You're on the middle of a quiet road, some 20 seconds into a shot and suddenly a car shows up forcing you to pick up the cam and get aside.

When looking at some of those shots, I noticed that when late enough in a shot, it is like involuntary light-painting.

That got me thinking about light and I wondered what would happen if I set the cam to only pick up light and then just walk with it. So I set the timers, closed it down and held it in my hand while walking home. All movement is the rhythm of me walking.

While not all are great, some are quite interesting.

This is the shot I went out for but I might process it again. Amazing what the cam can grab considering it is pitch black where I was sitting.

I wanted to try something different when processing this one. Instead of normalizing the exposure compensation I shot with, I decided to increase the exposure in LR until maxed out and start from there. Most of this shot is overexposed 7 stops and there's still plenty of data.

Edit; I had better fixed the distortion too. Watching the shot here makes me feel drunk.
