TAMRON SP AF 70-200mm F2.8 Di LD IF Macro
It's slow to focus (only had it on my D5100 today) I'll probably end up selling it

Kevin, if your plan is/was to use it for macro, try to stop down quite a bit more. f/4 isn't nearly enough when you are so close to your subject for macro. Please give it another chance. If you didn't mount your camera on a tripod, give that a try, too. The flower's petals look a little blown which is why they lack detail. I don't have that lens and never used one, but it might be able to do more for you with a little practice. Have some fun with it, and give it another go!

Three new old cameras found their way into my vintage glass cabinet.


A Baby Brownie Special (produced from September 1938 to 1954)
When it was first released it came at the sticker shocking price of $1.25.



A "Kodak Holiday Flash" (sans flash) from the late 1950's.


And what I thought was a "Hero Imperial" until I looked closer.
It is a HerCo Imperial - as in Herbert's Company, made by the George Herbert Co of Chicago - produced circa 1950-1955.




My wife is beginning to wonder when the case will be too full.
But she can't be too worried, she is the one who came home from a home decore store to tell me of these camera's they had for sale.

Recently changed my car which has like most new cars a keyless entry and ignition. I am not totally happy with this system so I have bought this self-contained tracking device that works in conjunction with my cell phone.

Well if I'm ever down that way for sure - a little out of the way though, Mr. Google says only a 35 hour drive, 34 if the traffic is good.

But never know, have my son and his family live in Birmingham AB so who knows someday may take that drive.

My latest bag
a "Nikon" backpack - holds the 70-200mm with camera mounted. Can squeeze in a flash or 35mm 1.8 but not much else.
Inch or two too short for the 200-500.

The cost new looks to be $249 here in the US so if you got it cheap and isn't scratched, hopefully you'll have a lot of fun with it. I have a Nikon 1.4 teleconverter. Coupled to my 300mm f/4, it is fantastic. Looking forward to seeing your images with it, Mike.

Thanks. i have had it on loan for a week and tried it on my Sigma 100-400,i think i will most likely use it for close up shots,these are with it on the 100-400,the forum will not allow me to enlarge images in a quoted post so they need clicking.

It is not a drone.

But cost more.

Apparently we needed a garden shed much more than we needed a drone - according to my sweetheart with the greenthumb.

Ordered a shed kit - today we bought the the foundation and floor which is not included in the kit.



Day One - go to lumberyard - buy floor and foundation, bring home, clear and level site, put down patio stone foundation - 'on the level'
