I bought a 7" reflector with honeycomb insert for my bare bulb Godox AD360 flash (although with the speedlight bowen's mount gizmo I have I can put it on any speedlight).
Have not used it yet but it arrived today four days shy of a month from order to delivery, not bad for an eBay order from China.
But sadly, it arrived with a ding.
I emailed the vendor and told them they need to use stronger boxes - the box it was in was very soft cardboard. The reflector itself is very thin metal.
The ding won't affect performance so I'll keep it rather than go through the effort of ordering another.
Downside of buying cheap chinese - you really don't get the feel of it first, it takes a month to arrive, and if damaged, a bother to return.
But it was all of $10 US$ so not the end of the world.
If I find that it is useful I might buy a better quality one. I don't think I'd buy another one like this from China.
UPDATE: Received a prompt reply from the vendor "Tomtop" from China. Apologetic: "We will feedback this problem to our related department and we will improve in the future." and they offered a "3-4" refund which I suspect means 75% off. I'll continue to use this vendor - but with full knowledge that quality of these products vary. I had also ordered a small lens case - suitable for my Lensbaby Composer Pro - with things like that I've been very satisfied, many of my lens cases are bought down by dBay.

Speaking of Induro, I also wanted to upgrade my sticks. My Manfrotto 190CX Pro4 doesn't get high enough (unless I use the center column and who wants to do that?) for certain situations. This GIT404XL (71") arrives tomorrow. Hopefully I won't regret NOT spending twice as much for a Gitzo or RRS.
Wow, that sucker is pretty heavy without a head (6.1 pounds)! Nice though!

It finally arrived.
Ordered a "Interfit Strobies Pro-Flash Diffusion Ball" from B&H back in January. It was back ordered, shipped on March 8 - arrived yesterday Mar 21st - via Purolater. Now I get the 'later' part of Puro-later.
But nevertheless it arrived safe and sound which is what matters.
Now I have the "Dome of Light" - not to be confused with a 'Cone of Silence'. Fits perfectly on my StrobePro X360 - the Canadian re-brand of Godox's AD360 bare-bulb flash.
According to B&H this gizmo "throws light in all directions to create an even light throughout your scene. The Diffusion Ball is best used to light large groups or to increase the ambient or fill light in your image."

So, if your camera is attached and you relocate the tripod for another angle or shot, you need to remove the camera to re-level the tripod??

A nice haul at the camera show this year... a new camera bag for the Olympus, a new faster memory card for the Nikon... a MeFoto Roadtrip air for my travels. I really enjoyed my day out almost more than buying the new gear

So is saying " I just go to the Camera Show to learn from the presentations" is like saying I read Playboy for the articles?
This inspired me to take mine out and give it another try at the zoo today. I have the same zoom issue but mine is not sharp at all. Oh well...

Nikon N65 and a Quantiray 28-90 lens. Goodwill, 25.00. In pretty pristine condition for as old as it is.
Ever since I started this journey I have had a battery pack, portrait grip on the camera.
The D500 is the first camera I have used without one (due to thinking about buying genuine but didnt want to stump up the £450!!)
I finally settled with a Neewer one and it arrived today, instantly makes the camera feel 100x better in my hands !!

I finally settled with a Neewer one and it arrived today, instantly makes the camera feel 100x better in my hands !!
The Neewer is only 363 grams compared to 558 grams for the OEM one. It does add a little bit of weight and then the extra battery too but it feels more sturdy and I am used to using the shutter release for portrait shots
When I first got it before putting it on the camera it felt massive but then the depth of the grip on the 500 is pretty big and it feels natural on the camera

Been going back and forth between this lens and the 120-300 2,8 version and I cannot find the 2.8 version at a decent price for love nor money!!
So after a bit of haggling with the eBayer I ended up getting this lens for £325
Looking forward to it arriving, got to wait for him to get home to send it on Friday, the wait will be long !!
