Maybe I went a little over board with this Lensbaby thing?
I picked up a couple of cases and the accessory kit (macro / wide angle) from Henry's of Toronto on a 'too-good-to-pass-up' sale. And I bought five optics (a pinhole, plastic, single, double and 12mm fisheye) directly from the Lensbaby factory in the USA - they were having a fabulous Feb refurbished clearance - I helped them clear out a few pieces eh?

The Composer Pro with Edge 80 optic I had picked up used from The Camera Store in Calgary a few weeks ago.

This weekends fun will be learning the joy of swapping optics and unleashing my hidden creative side.

I would be very interested in your thoughts on this kit. The lens baby gear has always been an interest with me.

Got my ballhead in yesterday along with the Benro tripod I ordered. Ordered the Acratech GP ballhead with the quick release. Thing is awesome looking so far. Really like the feel of it.

Is the bubble level UNDER the quick release plate?!? . If so, that totally defeats the purpose to me of the level. Maybe it's just me, but that's what it looks like!

Looks like you can level the head, then add the camera body to the leveled head.

That's what I thought.....I'm not sure that would be too great. Maybe he will let us know!

Having fun with this new funky gizmo. It is going to take some time to get the hang of "seeing things differently" and after so much focus on sharpness in the digital photography world learning to "embrace the blur" is a mind altering mental shift needed when playing with this tilty lenses - especially some of the special effect lenses like the zone-plate lens.

I'm posting results of my efforts on a thread here at Nikonites: https://nikonites.com/general-lenses/38848-its-lens-baby-lets-see-some-lensbaby-creativity.html

If you want to see what's happening in one on-line Lensbaby community check out there Facebook page called "Lensbaby Artistry".

Got this 80-200 in the mail today from @Blacktop!

Now I need to reconfigure my camera bag....or maybe get a new one....

Camera bag - as in singular - who has one camera bag? What you need is another bag, or two or three or ...

:)

When I was looking at getting a 70-200 I considered the 80-200 option and looked at a few of them. Lots of commentators said it was 'built like a tank' and would last forever... in the end found a great deal on a 70-200 V1 so never did find out how good this golden oldie really is - let us know what you think of the it.
