Update on the monopod V adapter, tried it yesterday for the first time and have to say it looks promising,i carry my camera on a Black Rapid strap hanging on my left side,i used a old camera strap fixed to the monopod and put it across my body and round my neck (same idea as the BR strap) so the monopod is on my right side.

The system works because if i want to take a shot hand held i just let go of the monopod and it just hangs there within reach, now looking for a lot lighter monopod than my Manfrotto.

Thanks Mike, that sounds like something worth investigating. I have a very light monopod... Thanks for the feedback.

Im doing a lot more in Photoshop so it was time to try out a Wacom Tablet to see if it is better than a mouse.

I also got a 4 port hub, My Surface is really funny with hubs so I thought I would try this one out ...

It is a skill to be mastered.
I tried this a while back with a Wacom Bamboo tablet.
I didn't get it to work for me. But many do like it.

I did stumble upon Patrick LaMontagne's work - he is a digital artist - and a very good one.
He put out a how to that I'd recommend

I keep telling myself I'm going to take the time to master this . . . on my when I get a 'round-2-it' list.

Technically not a purchase sine I won them as a door prize, but they arrived today and should make for some interesting shot angles!

I had the add for these pop up on FB. I took a quick look and thought it would be interesting to see how it works. I wasn't interested enough to spend money on it however. Ha! Now I have you to give us a review. ;)

I went to a travel photography seminar that turned out to be a sales pitch for a tour provider and this was one of the prizes. I figured out pretty quickly that photo tours to Africa are Way out of my financial scope, but when they drew my name for these, I decided it wasn't a complete waste of time!

I spent 3 months travelling through Africa, what I would suggest is to pick a spot (Serengeti, Masai Mara) or go on an Overland tour like I did. Sure it is not based around the best light but you will still come back with some awesome images. Nomad Adventures was one company and also Gecko Adventures.

Mailman just dropped this off, 1966 Nikon F with 35mm f/2,50mm f1.4 and 135mm f/3.5 lenses. Found on Ebay, looked good in the pictures, looks almost brand new in person, except for some sratches on the 35mm lens hood. Glass looks perfect. Just need to get batteries for the light meter to see if it's functional and some film. And find someplace to develop it.
