A couple of months ago I bought and built a 3D printer. It's a fun little project for those that like that sort of thing. I need to learn how to create my own designs. In due time I'll dedicate some time to that. For now I'm just downloading from a 3D print community that have created and shared their designs for all sorts of stuff.

I printed a bokeh filter for my 50mm lens. It comes with different inserts like hearts (seen in picture), stars, and other items.

Here's where I tested out the heart bokeh filter

There's a ton of stuff to find and print in the community. I've printed hotshoe gopro mounts, miniature paper stands for backdrops, etc. Once I learn how to create my own designs, I think that's when it will get interesting.

For those that are interested you can see other designs that are available to download and print. On this site: Thingiverse - Digital Designs for Physical Objects you can input a SEARCH TERM like Nikon to see everything that has been shared to the print community.

Based on what I'm seeing online, the P900 incudes a battery charger. Did you buy it new or used?

It comes with a charger that you can plug the camera into in case you don't have a laptop/desktop with you. But not a stand alone charger for charging the battery outside of the camera.
Mine was brand new from Adorama.

Took the "upgrade now for $19" offer (reg $49 upgrade)

Started out as a freebie via "Giveaway Of the Day" - then upgraded to 16, now 18.

Has some nice features.

The only photo software you need: Zoner Photo Studio

Any other Zoners in Nikonite land?

I downloaded the free version to check it out for a friend. For basic software it is pretty good. I am suggesting it for people who are just uploading to Facebook without doing any post processing at all

Curious about "without doing any post processing at all"? I've not downloaded the free version from their website, sometimes the free one is a simpler version. I've always had a full version (started with Ver 16, now using 18). It seems to handle most post processing needs quite well.

We all have friends that have a basic camera and do nothing but upload them to Facebook. Many of them want to improve their photos but really don't or can't afford Lightroom/Photoshop. And face it, most don't really need it. A simple free program might just be the ticket to them getting better photos and we all know that leads to wanting a better camera, lens, tripod etc. And then they join Nikonites. We have all been there.

Well my D300s arrived today and it's condition was everything I could hope for! It looks like new, and everything works good! Instead of 29,000 actuations it had only 25,900 actuations which was a nice surprise too.
So all in all I am very happy with it so far! :D

Glad you're happy with it Bill. I'm sure you will enjoy it. You almost have enough cameras now to use a different one each day of the week. LOL :D
