Finally picked up a new camera bag the other day after getting the D7000 for Christmas. I went with a basic bag, an AmazonBasics DSLR/Laptop bag to be exact. I couldn't justify paying more for a name brand bag. This one should work for quite a while for me.
Those are great bags! I can tell it's been changed (for the better) since I had one but I was shocked at how well mine served me and for as long as it did. The low price just makes it that much more amazing.

Also... My Tammy 70-200mm f/2.8 arrived today and I'm thrilled at how sharp it shoots on my D750, right out of the box.

So the umbrella, hot-shoe mount, wireless triggers and cheesehead have all trickled in over the past 3 days, with the light stand finally showing delivered today. FINALLY get a chance to play with 'em this weekend, but not before that.

BIG PROJECT at work, so stuck here 'til 10 p.m. tonight (14 hour day), and a full day tomorrow. :(

Well... cancel the excitement and opportunity to play this weekend. Amazon shipped me a CowboyStudio BOOM arm instead of the light stand I ordered, and this time I'm not impressed with their customer service. Normal bit of return it and get a refund, but couldn't get the guy to just ship me the correct part. I've got to wait for the refund to credit, then place another order. The kicker is the price went up 3 bucks during all this fiasco. $3.00 won't kill me, but on principle alone, I'm feeling a bit hot under the collar.

I wouldn't blame you. I was a bit miffed at myself yesterday when I realized I ordered the wrong flash mount adapters. I wanted to spend some time practicing with remote flash this weekend Oh well. No ones fault but my own.

That stinks. In situations like this, Amazon's customer service is usually very good. What I suggest you do is to wait until you receive notification that the credit has been applied then call and request to speak with a supervisor. You have the price showing up in your order history so they should be able to override the current price especially since this was their fault. You probably just got a dud for a representative this time.

I'm a proponent of not lashing out when I'm angry, as typically folks do something regrettable. I let the agent process like they were suggesting, took 30 mins to chill, then sent an email describing the whole thing in CALM detail. If nothing else, I can hope that it helps affect future interactions.

I'm just a picky person when it comes to CS, I guess!

I bought the HD-4, and as I said in my post the guys at Jobu were great to deal with, answered all my queries promptly and even gave me a good deal on the shipping costs, good service deserves a pat on the back I reckon so I'm more than happy to endorse them and their products.
I'll put up a review when I've given it a good field test....
cheers

Who can resist a $100 rebate?

Picked up the Tamron 70-200 2.8 VC yesterday from my local store. (ProCam in Livonia, MI)

Needed a bag to carry it, so I bought a Thinktank City Walker 20 :)

I have always shied away from zooms in favor of primes (though I did have the superlative 80-200 f/4.5 non-AI Nikkor for many years) but this was too good to pass up. I read a lot of reviews on this lens and all were glowingly positive. It will certainly not replace my 50mm f/1.4, 85mm f/1.4 and 105 f/1.8 NIkkors, but it will give me added convenience and for $120 delivered, you can't beat it! Most of Nikon's AIS zooms were carried into AF versions but curiously this one was not, the 50-135 f/3.5 AIS. Cosmetically at least, this one is immaculate

I got the lens yesterday and shot a lot with it today. It is sharp as a razor! But here is the rub. KEH sent it to me in a zip lock bag with NO lens caps! Are you freakin' kidding me??? I sent them an email telling them that I have purchased close to a dozen Nikkor, Hasselblad and Olympus lenses from EBay and this is the FIRST one I received with no lens caps. I told them that their auction mentioned nothing about caps or no caps, but a reasonable buyer would assume that the lens came with lens caps. I sent them a message that if they wanted positive feedback from me they better cough up genuine Nikon caps (at least front element). I told them that given KEH's reputation I expected much better. I told them that they are not a fly by night outfit out of China but a very reputable company in the US. I got a message from them saying that their auction did not mention caps, blah, blah, blah but that they would comply with my request. I replied that buying a lens with no lens caps would be like buying a car with rims not NO TIRES. I always put front and rear element caps on my lenses when they are in my gear bag. With 14 Nikkors in my bag, why would you take a chance on damaging glass without one???

Lesson learned here, if you order from KEH on EBay, read between the lines when it comes to accessories!

Thanks for the heads up. I too would assume (dangerous pastime) that caps would be expected, especially from KEH. Good to see they are making it right. What is puzzling is that you can order them from China (nor real Nikon although some say Nikon) but certainly good enough. And cheap like borscht. I'm sure KEH can get them cheaper. I would expect caps just for protective value.

BTW having lost a couple I bought a bag full (of course not lost another since). I have started using the white balance caps (also cheapo from Chino). Handy and come will sturdy loop which I pass around my camera strap.
