I cracked on my GAS addiction: Cotton Carrier vest for 2 cameras.

Here with the 500mm and the 70-200mm as test. Still had to do some adaptation.
The universal adaptor plate I attached to the body and it works on the Manfrotto RC2.
I took the 500mm with TC 1,4 out tonight and I still have to learn a bit, but it is comfortable and feels secure.

Picked this up from Henry's.com's eBay auction site for $92.99 US.

Read some really great reviews of this older lens and since my only long lens is a Sigma 100-300 which apparently isn't the greatest of long lenses (it is 1990 something vintage) I figured for less than $100 I'd give this Nikkor a go.

I've not taken many photo's with it yet. Sample of one is posted below. Tried out it's close up (macro?) capacity taking a photo of my parrot.

(I wonder why when I'm shopping on eBay.CA, buying from a Canadian vendor in Canada and I'm in Canada why on earth do I have to convert to the US$ to make my purchase - eBay does take a premium in converting currency. Is this the same elsewhere? If a German, buys a product from a German eBay seller is the purchase still in US dollars? - Just a side rant).

Taken with my new 70-210 on my D610

Didn't come with a hood so I've ordered one off of eBay $8.00.

Walked in the den after work and I heard a growling noise coming from a box on the desk. Yup, the primal beast arrived!! YES!!! Man, I'm stoked. This camera is insane. Chris (sonicbuffalo) spent a crazy amount of money to get it to me so quick, two days. Thanks, you da man! You can trust Chris to deal with. He went above and beyond to make this happen.

Shoot....I read that entire book before I started shooting with it. Try to read as much as you can. It will really enhance your experience with it. Enjoy and glad it got there a day early!

Dang Chris, you had way less then 500 clicks on this bad boy. I took about 20 this morning. The difference is amazing over the D3100.
