No need to give me credit for your NAS mate!
Or is that GAS?
Well this was damaged and now they cannot get one, so I am again looking for a tripod around the $1000 mark. And in Australia.

Just bought this one now :)

Scott Murray that looks like one heck of a tripod with an enormous load capacity.
More anticipatory salivating! :)
Really looking forward to seeing this gear in action.

I will need a strong one for my 800mm (dream) lens that I will oneday buy hahahaha

The 800mm is usually bought by the publications for their professional photographers in the field. Most amateur/semi pro's don't have the need or the income from their photography to pay for the lens. But that being said, when will you be gettng one?

Scott Murray, I might need more info on your lightening triggers, since that's something that interests me while living here in Tornado Alley.

I've read where some older Nikon lenses aren't quite as good with their autofocus accuracy, and I've found that out with my recent purchase of the Nikon 180mm f/2.8. I ordered the Datacolor SpyderLensCal Autofocus Calibration Aid. One of the reviewers suggests to test the lens by focusing near its closest focus limit (5' or 6' or whatever) so I will give that a try when it arrives. That would make sense because there is a much shallower depth of field when standing close to the subject.

My beloved decided she wasn't going to put up with me sitting in a broken easy chair any longer! So she bought me a new lazyboy recliner-rocker, I wanted to buy her a laptop instead but my love over ruled me!lol :D

Nice chair buddy. I took the liberty of straightening out your new chair, so you don't get a cramp sitting in it.:highly_amused: (Oh man!! Sometimes I just kill myself)
