I remember seeing these guys in line, they can also hurt you. But I never worked out why or how.

I was out shooting some species flowers when this little fly landed and held nice and still. The flower center is about 1/4" across

Tamron 90mm, 1/640, f6, ISO 100

Caught this little one just after shedding its old skin -- not a great shot, but by the time I adjusted settings, it was gone

Finally I got one. D5100 and the 16-85mm - Not the best shot of an insect but it a shot and for me a big success. *LOL*
