Here is a different kind of photo of fungi. These are conidiophores of the fungus
Phialophora verrucosa at 400x that I took at work with the D700 mounted on the microscope. It was stained with lactophenol cotton blue since they are normally pretty much transparent under the microscope. This is actually a pretty dangerous fungus and can cause something named chromoblastomycosis (I think I spelled it correctly) which is a chronic and destructive skin and subcutaneous (below the skin) infection. You usually get it from getting stuck with wood splinters or thorns.
