Red spider lily (Lycoris radiata), a perennial bulb from China; very cool flower.
Oh and the bulbs are very poisonous, so don't be tempted to nibble.

Per my edited previous, tell her to wear gloves or wash up very carefully if she digs the bulbs and divides them
