Is that a good or a bad thing? :)
It is a singular honor that we bestow on only a handful of photographers. Study up on the art of Georgia O'Keefe and we expect at least one photo that is done in her artistic styling once a year. Is it possible for a watercolorist to teach a photographer about composition? we think so. And after studying her paintings,we hope you will agree. Besides that, it's just a cool club to belong to.

As well you should be Bucko:) You are in a unique position of being able to form the first New Zealand Georgia O'Keefe fan club. While I am not sure she is as well known internationally as she is in the United States, she is an important artist with a unique perspective on form and light and her watercolors are very thought provoking, which is what a true artist must be. Just studying her art has helped me approach my work with a better understanding of form and shape and I would be happy to produce one photo that captured her sense of her style and composition. I do not know if there has ever been a showing of her work in your country, but if there ever is, I urge you go and see it.

I've book marked one of the many pages she features on and will give it an in-depth study later today.
And if impressed (as I think I will be) then I will most certainly look out for any exhibitions coming here.
Thanks for drawing my attention to her.

Wowzers, That is a beautiful Calla Lilly. I agree with Ron, you need to be part of our Georgia O'Keeffe Club :)
There you have it @Lawrence, It is official. Wendy has spoken. Club dues are a photo every now and then reminiscent of the style of Georgia O'Keefe. We are still working on membership credentials and you have to come over here and meet with a fellow club member if you want to learn the secret handshake. We await your first post.

We would not have jumped you in if we did not think you were tough enough to take it. But take your time and study as many of Georgia's works as you can possibly access. She also has some interesting landscapes and architectural elements paintings as well as florals. Sometimes her work is strictly abstract. So there are a lot of possibilities. But the attention you bring to your photos leads me to believe you will do us proud.

Where does one post this secret club's photos? :)
