“The Thais, according to their semireligious custom and aged old Hindu mythology, have a wonderful tradition of colouring their days, using different colours for each day of the week, believing that if they wore the right colours on right days of the week, their entire day would be auspicious, and that colour would bring them luck and good fortune. Is that why life in Thailand is so colourful,” ?

For example, King Bhumibol was born on Monday, so on his birthday throughout Thailand will be decorated with yellow color.

Now it is Monday the 11th of November 04.20 a.m. I wish you a great colorful day

Hi there, Nikonites……. Sorry for the absence but my wife has been going through some serious medical drama and I’ve been distracted doing the home nursing thing, managing the household and keeping business going. After 6 weeks in the hospital and another 6 weeks at home, she’s starting to come out of it, but still not walking, yet. Maybe a couple of surgery still to come.

Here is a flower from a cactus (don’t know what kind) that I think is remarkable. (the flower, not the photography) Happy Vets Day to all my fellow vets (Army 74-84)

These are from my first attempts at Macro photography.
Used the standard kit 22-200 lens and manual focus. No Tripod, stability from shooting came into play.

Stem was damaged by hail, but it left the flowers in tact
