Re: Bird of Paradise

Ian, I like this one very much... The result shows the effort that you put into the prep. Nice Job!

Hi there Pat,
Thank you very much for your comments.
I see you have the D7100 camera. What do you think of it then?
I would be interested to hear your views on it.

Ian,

I am loving the D7100. Don't get me wrong, my 5100 was (still is a great camera) but the 7100 has more capability, ability to produce images better in low light etc, super detail and it feels so much sturdier in the hand. I used it about a week and then went back and grabbed the D5100 for a shoot and it felt more like a "toy" in comparison to the 7100. (NOTE: it is NOT and I use it today still, that comment was just a comparison to the feel).

I am glad that I got it, it was the perfect upgrade for me. Some nice features:
Dual card slots
Better viewfinder
LED Display bigger & brighter (I like the 5100 articulation)
Buttons are faster for changing settings than menu system (once you learn them)

Hope this helps some..

Pat,
Thanks for that info.
Other than use this thread for my personal queries I will send you a private mail explaining my reasons for asking you.

I love the D7100 also. I still fumble with the buttons. I keep looking for stuff in the menu and then remember it's on a button, but which one? I know I'll figure it out one day, but when you've got that shot lined up and can't find what you're looking for, sometimes the shot is gone.

Re: Bird of Paradise

So, where's the bird of paradise??
Somehow my image headline of a `Bird of Paradise` flower seems to have got mixed up with another posting. How that happened I`m not sure but I do hope I did not post incorrectly and cause this to happen as I have not been regularly posting on here and am somewhat rusty.
