We have this one in Mackay. I went to visit the Orchid house the day after I saw this story in the local newspaper, but they closed just before I got there.

And here I was thinking it was rare. Seems like they are a dime a dozen.

Are they the same plant though ? The one we have here is an Orchid, there is no mention of the ones in the 2 other links being Orchids. Or did I miss that bit.

Is it a Amorphophallus titanum plant? No mention of orchid in any of the articles on the one in Miami, FL. Here's a link to the photo.
