I'm no flower shooter but that is not to say I haven't tried. There is a lot more to it then you realize. I think one of the most common mistakes comes when shooting groups of flowers where you really need a small aperture. Most folks see flowers and open up wide which can lead to technical flaws real fast unless you know what the heck you are doing. One also tends to see a lot of mucho saturation with the colors involved...again sometimes the better snap uses desaturated color. So you see a simple little flower shot can require extensive knowledge and technique.

Beautiful series Bob. I see you used a variety of camera bodies and lenses for these shots. I am partial to the Leica V-Lux shots and this one especially:
