I know because at the Nuclear Plant I used to work at many years ago had these in the cooling pond and on one particular bitter cold night (not many of those in South Texas) about forteen yards (you heard right) of these swam into the intakes of our cooling system (into a building) and plugged the pump strainers nearly forcing us to shut the plants down. I've had enough wild sailfin mollies for one lifetime.

This was one of the smaller catfish that have been caught ( 156lb) There are documented fish up to 242lb. Location is Chiprana on the river Ebro, Spain.
