That is so awesome! I have been trying to get one of those types of spiders for about 2 years. And the only time I see them I have either no camera or the wrong camera in hand.

We use to have a train station that looked much like the Danville Station but they tore it down back in the early 1990's. It housed a popular restaurant called the Robin's Nest. I guess it had deteriorated to much and no one had an interest in restoring it. It is now a parking lot.I've also been to Danville a few times. This is the former Southern Railway station there. It's still in use today by Norfolk Southern. [March 1990, Nikon N2020, Kodachrome]

The jumping spiders are actually quite common around here. The biggest issue is that they are so small they are easily overlooked. That also makes it more difficult to get a good shot. I manged this one because I have a habit of checking my wildflower plot in the backyard at least once or twice a day. If I see something interesting, my camera, and macro lens are close at hand. That is so awesome! I have been trying to get one of those types of spiders for about 2 years.
