You would love La Grange, KY we have a train that runs right down the middle of the town. You can see the tracks and the trains if you go to https://virtualrailfan.com/. In fact you can see trains from all around the world on this website.

Thanks! I definitely need to find my way there some day. I think the closest I've been is Lexington where I shot the Southern Railway station in June 1978. Sadly, it burned in May of 1991 and was demolished in July 1992.

I've also been to Danville a few times. This is the former Southern Railway station there. It's still in use today by Norfolk Southern. [March 1990, Nikon N2020, Kodachrome]

We use to have a train station that looked much like the Danville Station but they tore it down back in the early 1990's. It housed a popular restaurant called the Robin's Nest. I guess it had deteriorated to much and no one had an interest in restoring it. It is now a parking lot.

That is so awesome! I have been trying to get one of those types of spiders for about 2 years. And the only time I see them I have either no camera or the wrong camera in hand.
The jumping spiders are actually quite common around here. The biggest issue is that they are so small they are easily overlooked. That also makes it more difficult to get a good shot. I manged this one because I have a habit of checking my wildflower plot in the backyard at least once or twice a day. If I see something interesting, my camera, and macro lens are close at hand.
