Post Your D500 Shots

And now for something completely different - for me anyway - tried my D500 at night - it was a long shot ... well if 20 seconds count as long. Used a Tokina 11-20, shot wide open at 11mm.

Just out my back door (there is a song there I'm sure).
It had warmed up to just minus 18° C so thought I'd give it a go. Fingers tip open gloves put to their intended use.

I know it needs a lot of work. Just starting to learn about this type of photography.

I was going to try my fisheye's as well but frozen fingers said 'not tonight' - besides there were no northern lights to be seen.

Been thinking of getting a Nikkor 20mm 1.8 or one of the manual Rokinon's (14mm probably). But not right now. The 11-20 is 2.8 at 11mm so should be adequate. I'd hope?

I should have shut off the kitchen lights - can even make out the venetian blind pattern on the shed wall where the light from the kitchen windows is lighting up the backyard.

Lol, a member of our family flew them from ~1982 to 2004, my involvement was to fatigue test some of the aircraft components when the MRA4 was under development. Sadly I'm not ex RAF :(

I had some connection with them at Wyton but was mostly involved with the C130.

Shot this Woodpecker - but also tried out the video capacity
Not good at video - and found it hard to hold that 200-500 steady, ... and it was 16 below I think I was shivering a bit.
