Clouds, birds, or some other appealing features related to sky, are some of the best props for a photograph. Empty skies make a photograph flat and boring. Composing your photograph with something interesting in the sky, like a rainbow or beams of light breaking through the clouds, can blow new life to the photograph. If you have no such option then raise your horizon line to minimize the space occupied the sky in that frame.

Thanks Michael. We usually see fog at lower elevations in the morning, but to see it in the evening with the pastel colors in the sky is unusual. I wish I could have found a higher elevation to shoot from. The trees have grown in so much at this location that the view is slowly disappearing.
