From two years ago and my last major trip with my beloved D300. The Cathedral of Santa Maria of Palma de Mallorca, more commonly referred to as La Seu. The sunlight outside is blindingly bright but makes the most amazing magical light display inside the cathedral. The first image is a HDR.
The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption also known as the Great Mosque of Córdoba, usually referred to as the Mezquita, is a fascinating place to visit. Built as a Mosque in 784, it was converted to a Roman Catholic Cathedral in 1236. These are just a few examples of the interplay of the architectural and religious styles. Not shown is the traditional Christian altar in the center which is jarringly different from the majority of the building.
A few from Antoni Gaudí's Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família. Construction began in 1882 and is projected to complete in 2028. We've visited twice and will go everytime we're in Barcelona. Truly amazing. Every corner seems to be a different architectural style that somehow comes together harmoniously.
