Came across this one on the church grounds in St. Augustine FL

Along the Blue Ridge, I came across many family burial plots. Obviously, this is the Shaver family. I'm not sure if the sharp stones on the top are for keeping critters out, or keeping the occupants in.

So in Luxembourg (Sandweiler) there are 2 cemeteries the US one (White crosses with lots of greenery around and open to the sky, where General Patton is burried) and the German one (Gray crosses all covered by big trees, looking dark and sad). On this morning, with a fresh layer of snow I went to German one to have the contrast with the snow.

Yeah, I guess they have them all over. There is a pretty big German cemetery in Normandy. I was there last summer, and there were just a few people there. Somber place.

I think this would be great with blue completely de-saturated if it isn't already. Sad thing is this was probably a bunch of young kids too.
