Hey Donald,

So, you're trying the B&W …cooool!

Both your posts 403 & 404 are well composed… I like 404 best!

What I see is that your rendition is quite flat in both cases and the horizon of 404
needs tweaking.

To pep up for B&W, you should make sure that you start with the right colours from
your RAW files. You will be surprised!

Have a good day…

Hey Pat,

I love the B&W treatment of farmland sceneries… it give it unmistakably
the charm printed in my childhood memory.

I do hope that this tweaking means anything to you…

Better B&W start with a good interpretation of the colours in, and
proper WB of, the values pertained in the RAW file.

Corrected the horizon as well!

Vbrg,

Hi Kodiak,

Thank you... I am at work now, just saw this as I have been on the road for a few days. I will definatley compare this to mine and discover the improvements. I am sure there were many as this was one of my earlier shots (Nov last year) and barely had my camera 60 days...

I am anxious top look at this when I get home...

Vbrg,

Ok, it took a while as I have been busy but I re-visited the original photo... This is the new version...
