Red Tailed Hawk - high overhead - shot with my new D7100 + Kenko 1.4 & Nikkor 200-500 5.6e

Waited but he never got in much closer than these photos allowed.

SM DSC_0917+Birding with Kenko-0066.jpgSM DSC_0945+Birding with Kenko-0070.jpg

Both shot with D7100 - and a Tamron 70-300
First one with Kenko 1.4 TC the BIF without.

I did find it a lot easier to get focus without the T.C. - none on my BIF with the T.C. were post worthy.

The T.C. ads reach but at the cost of faster focus - and maybe a slight loss of I.Q.

If one wanted to fly to Canada to do some birding where things get cold , for things like puffins, do you know where is good ?
Newfoundland only place in Canada I know they are but don't come in winter they won't be here Spring is good after the young hatch but that's just me I've never been there just seen pics
