You did alright there,the only way is to keep practicing if you have sea gulls near you they are great learning subjects,what most BIF photographers will not tell you is how many failures they have :D

That is what I have been doing. We have a nice park here and it is full of ducks and geese. Not many sea gulls in north Texas. :)
So that has been my practice scene on BIF.

Getting close to but just not sharp enough. I am having a lot of fun practicing though. :)

Not a great shot - gloomy day, grey skies, really overcast, but I've never seen a Swallow Tailed Kite. Highly cropped. Also posted in my daily.

You always need the lens you got at home. It'll take a long long time before I get a shot at such an encounter again. The crow sure got balls.
