I know this is a picture thread, but maybe you all would not mind a question. When you are shooting birds in flight, what setting do you have the auto focus sensors set to? Single, multiple, or auto. Meaning how many focus points do you use for in flight birds? I am new to birds in flight and tonight I was at a place with lots of geese flying and was trying all the settings. But like a dope do not remember which shots are with what and I did not see it in the detail info. Maybe it will show it in lightroom.

Thanks,

Thanks,

Going against the popular way i mostly have used single center point because of lack of sensitivity in the outer points,i will experiment now i have the D750 with other settings.

I also use only the central sensor. If the camera supports group AF (my D3300 does not), then I believe (correct me if I am wrong) that once the focus is acquired at selected point, the camera will track the object shifting focus points.
