We've had females on and off for a while now, but no males so far -- cool birds

It was a little busy with people at the local country park this afternoon, so any real noise and the bird flew away, now I know where they are, I will go again on sunday morning when its quiet.

Try taking some bird food,perhaps a box of attora shredded suet,the best thing about suet is if you wear rubber gloves (you dont want it on your camera) you can soften it and mold it into crevices ect.

First time I have seen a Merganser out of the water.
