Saw a flock of birds fly across the road on my way home. Found a place to pull over and managed to get a couple of shots. Was not sure what it was but have now ID'ed it as a Lapland Longspur. They winter here from the Tundra. As the birders say it is a Life Bird for me. The sky was dark gray and it started snowing about 10 minutes later so the shot was not great and they were wayyyyyyy out in the field.

It seems the JPEG can't handle the range. That's what we call posterization I guess.

If ime honest i didnt fancy walking around in these treacherous conditions with a loan lens on my D7100 so i just took the V2.
