Who knew that great blue herons are not very nice to turtles. In the first picture the turtle is on its side. When I first got there it was not on its side like that. So the heron was kicking at it. Then the next picture you see he is no longer there. Yup. He booted him off. But in the last one you see the turtle is not giving up as he is climbing back up.

Yesterday, a baby Blue Jay hopped over to my feet and looked up at me chirping feed me. Only had the Tamzooka, so no picture. I know, no picture, it really didn't happen, but I have Chris as a witness.
Appreciate the likes folks but I am not, and never will be a bird photographer. So many of you are so skilled that I could never compete and have no desire to own one of those humongus lenses. The only way i could use one would be on a tripod. But my foray into shooting birds makes me appreciate how could so many of you are at what is a difficult endeavor. So I am off to find a flower garden to stalk-----even they flit around a little to much sometime.More birds from my trip to the Aviary. The 18-140 is pretty limiting for bird photos but the Aviary lets you get close enough to actually get some photos.View attachment 218766
