One more from the WAYYYY BACK machine.
Scanned from a print, so exif info is not available, and was not recorded
C-47 Psy-Ops aircraft at the Pleiku Air Base, Pleiku South Vietnam, in 1968 or 69. You can tell it's a Psy-Ops bird by the large square opening behind the passengers door. There's another one on the other side, and they were large speakers that were used to broadcast messages to the Viet Cong, and North Vietnamese. One of the pilots of this very aircraft got in touch with me, after someone told him they had seen this picture up on my website. He very graciously sent me 5 or 6 more pictures of the plane and/or crew. The call sign of this aircraft was Moonshine 25, and the pilot had a lot of other info to share with me. He said it was the first time in over 30 years that he had seen a picture of this aircraft that was taken by someone other than himself. He went on to become a DC-10 flight simulator instructor with Fed-Ex after he had a heart transplant and lost his pilot's license. He passed away in June of 2018 at age 74. Sure am glad he took the time to e-mail me after he saw the picture!
Rest-In-Peace, Major!
Andy
