The road behind our property is in line with the runway so I quite often catch a plane in the backgrounds of my photos but haven't tried capturing a plane purposely so maybe I'll give it a try maybe it'll be easier than capturing birds in flight haha

wow that was quick! You know your aircraft! This was when it returned with 9 helicopters in early Oct usually we have nothing but air tango and westjet coming and going

Polar route. A number of airlines will do polar routes for their direct flights to places such as Hong Kong. Here i am going over the Artic - no, i did not see santa, lol - , going into Russia, over Mongolia, into China, then eventually into Hong Kong:
