Don't know why I haven't posted this yet but the shots are from last week. I slaved around in 110+* heat yesterday to shoot for this clubs newsletter. I didn't get to run due to steering rack failure a few days ago. Had a blast though and saw some sick cars.
Took my buddy's big single 2JZ-GTE GS300 to get a baseline "break in" tune. When the rings and bearings settle in he'll crank her up to full kill and be around 550-600rwhp.
and a little teaser shot of my other buddy's VW Corrado VR6. He's got a full 2.9 stroker motor, full interior retrim, custom 1-off bits, and rare European pieces all over it. I'm just waiting for him to button up a few details before doing a full shoot.
Struck by the matching colors and notably different sizes, I took this shot from my apartment window in September 1981 with my Nikon EL-2 and 50mm Lens on Kodachrome 64 film. Sorry abput the poor scan quality. I guess each generation in the U.S. is doomed to learn that big vehicles burn large amounts of gasoline. The little car is a VW Scirocco which I wanted to have in my own garage, but just couln't afford. 30 years later, I'd still like a Scirocco in my garage and they're not sold in North America. Sigh.
