This is the biggest problem with mirror less cameras that have screen lag. While you think the subject is in the frame when you shoot, he's already out of the shot, it's almost impossible to predict the real position of a moving target. I certainly missed my DSLR.

With some work, blending and brushing you might get that shot the way you like it. I think it's not beyond repair. The head will be the part requiring most work.
That is why I use flash with birdsYou loose a lot when you have to shoot active little birds in the shadows -- 1/200 just don't cut it
